So.Beer sponsors never been done before, carbon neutral 400-mile triathlon

So.Beer are thrilled to support Ryan Davin (@the_chillishamrock) on July 1st as he embarks on an unprecedented endurance challenge. Ryan will run, row and cycle 400 miles from The Spire, Dublin across the Irish Sea to The Shard, London. This mammoth challenge is powered solely by determination and human strength.

This human-powered journey will support Irish mental health charity “A Lust for Life”  and raise much needed awareness for sustainability and its impact for future generations. Endurance athlete, Ryan is no stranger to facing physical and mental challenges head on. The Wexford native, now living in London, has been thrill-seeking from an early age starting with motor cross aged 8 and progressing to impressive feats including the London Marathon, Dragon Ride Wales, Iron Man, London Triathlon and Quest 24 in Co. Kerry.

On July 1st, Ryan will run 60 miles from the Spire on O’Connell Street through Dublin’s Fair City out onto the Wicklow Mountains to the port town of Arklow, Wicklow via the stunning Wicklow Way.

From Arklow, Ryan will embark on a rowing trip of 96 miles across the Irish Sea with ex-Dirty Sanchez stunt performer and celebrity chef, Mathew Pritchard. The row through harsh conditions will end in Aberystwyth, Wales via the Celtic Challenge route navigating harsh seas with raging tidal currents.

When Ryan reaches land, he’ll hop on his bike to complete the remaining 245 miles from Aberystwyth, Wales to The Shard in London, reaching one iconic landmark from another.

Check out the journey below. Do you think you would be up for the challenge?
