1. Eating more fruit & veg is good for your Brain Health
A 2017 study found that eating an extra 100 grams of fruits and vegetables per day led to a 13% decrease in the risk of cognitive impairment and dementia. The likely reason for this is that fruit and vegetables are rich in polyphenols. Polyphenols are a micronutrient that is found in plants, and furthermore found in every can of Mude and So.Beer! Nice.

What we eat determines the types of bacteria that thrive in our gut and the ones that don’t. Eating a plant-based diet works to improve the health of your gut by enabling you to better absorb nutrients from food that helps to support your immune system. A bad diet can weaken you gut wall, allowing bacteria and nasty toxins into the bloodstream. No thanks! This can trigger autoimmune reactions, and we all know, once these are triggered, they are almost impossible to reverse. So, in this case, let’s be pro-active rather than re-active and get munching some more veggies!

Research has repeatedly shown that vegans have reduced risk of the world’s biggest killers, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and some cancers, while diets high in animal products are linked to a host of health problems.
4. Water Conservation Benefits
Waste not, want not. Animal products can be the biggest guzzler of water out of every food and beverage we consume. Consuming one beef burger is the equivalent of using 2,500 litres of water. This is likened to 38.4 showers! Studies have shown that by going plant-based you can reduce your water footprint by up to 55%. The power is in your knife and fork. No one is saying to never eat meat again, but it’s up to us to make the difference, and if we can make this impactful change with a delicious plant-based meal in front of us, we think it’s a pretty easy one at that!
5. Carbon Footprint
Less meat, less heat! Researchers from the University of Oxford have found that not eating meat or dairy products can reduce your carbon footprint by up to 73%. Carbon Neutrality is important to us, that’s why we compensate our products carbon emissions by choosing different measurements that prevent a quantity of greenhouse gases being released.
